For this project students will create a simulation of a solar eclipse! For this simulation, we’ll take the point of view from the Earth, assume the sun is stationary, and model how much light is cast on Earth as the moon moves across the sun. Looking at the eclipse as a system of moving parts, we can decompose the problem into bite-sized chunks, using objects with methods, loops, and conditionals to make an interactive app that models our observations.
